The Shire of Arenal is a division of the Society for Creative Anachronism, located within Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties, in Northwest Florida. We meet every Sunday afternoon for fighter practice at Optimist Park on Langley in Pensacola and every Thursday, 7:30pm for business meetings in room 101 at the main campus of PJC. Known for its beaches and Spanish heritage, the name Arenal derives from the Spanish word for "sandy spot".
Our members are a diverse community from all walks of life, but all actively devoted to service and the "Dream of the Current Middle Ages".
